Spring Lake Christmas Celebration Kick-off and Hayrides

The kick-off celebration begins at 6 pm and runs until 7 pm. It is the official start to the holiday season where the Christmas tree is lit, and the Spring Lake Theatre & Dance Academy dancers perform. The actual event takes place in the middle of the intersection of 3rd and Morris Ave. After the tree is lit, Santa and Mrs. Clause arrive in town on the fire trick, which trices towars the Community House on 300 Madison Avenue, to drop Santa and Mrs. Clause off, and then people stroll down to bring their children to sit on Santa's lap. Theis event draws approximately 1,000 - 1,500 visitors. Although it is not a night for shopping, many shops stay open for this event and serve Christmas treats or hot cocoa to the many attendees.
